GIRLS WHO RIDE

GIRLS WHO RIDE

- La Plagne -
10th December (£799)

- La Rosiere -
18th March (£899)

Fancy progressing in an environment that isn’t stifled by testosterone? If you’re bored of boy banter and you’re confident riding red runs, we’ve got the perfect girls only break. To push your riding to the next level, we’ve teamed up with Corinne Mayhew (call her Cozza!) one of the highest qualified female snowboard instructors in the world.

Cozza will cover technique and tactical skills: with park sessions, off-piste, freestyle, avalanche safety session and backcountry riding. You’ll be based in La Rosiere - it’s got a great choice of terrain - and the added bonus of being able to ride over to Italy for pizza lunches!

We’ve got our chalet girls, Nancy and Sophie to spoil you rotten with 3 course dinners, freshly made cakes and unlimited wine! They’ve even scouted out the best bars for a post-mountain mulled wine - just another one of their professional responsibilities.

Of course, as well as all the usual Bura hospitality, we’ve a ton of rad extras for you ladies to enjoy, including our welcome pack of goodies to set you up for the week, use of the new range of Endeavor demo boards, and freebies from our sponsors!

Who is it for?

Only girls, but it’s perfect for those wanting to push their riding with expert coaching.
If you’re keen for a relaxed vibe, with super smiley staff, you’ll fit right in.

What level do I need to be?

If you’re confident riding red runs and are looking to progress your technique, this is the ideal break for you.

Can I come alone?

For sure! Come alone or with friends, all meals are communal - and you’ll be riding in groups so you’ll make friends in no time.

What’s the snow like in March/April?

Spring snow starts to arrive around end of March, so expect lovely warm weather, and slightly slushy conditions in the afternoon - perfect for practicing jumps in off-piste.  March is a great time to be riding in La Rosiere.

Do I share a room?

Yes, but only with a max of 2 other people. We have doubles, twins, one triple and one single room.  You can share with other solo travellers or a supplement will be added if you wish to have sole use of a double/twin room.

How many people?

Max 12 spaces, but you’ll be split into two groups of 6 to ensure extra tailored coaching.

WHAT TO BRING :

Just your regular boarding gear. Aim to bring an all-mountain snowboard if you have a selection, but otherwise your regular snowboard. If you don’t have a board/don’t want to fly one out, we have a full range of snowboards for you to use that are included in the price.

Who are my hosts?

Cozza has trained in all areas of snowboarding and is currently coaching the GB Park, Pipe Academy Team and is the British Freeride team coach. She’s won all three British Master titles; Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Boardercross and holds the highest qualifications in snowboard instruction, freestyle coaching and backcountry guiding in France; Basi ISTD Level 4 and Carte Professional en France. Plus, she’s studied the psychology behind snowboarding, in particular, ways to overcome mental barriers to progress your riding in achievable steps. We’ve got you in very capable hands!

Nancy & Alice are our mega friendly, slightly-mad chalet girls who will join you on the slopes and for Italian feasts! They’ll be on hand all week to answer any queries, cook up some culinary storms, organise massages, and keep the unlimited wine flowing (and maybe help you drink some). They’ll also be able to carry you back from the bars.*

*Disclaimer - we haven’t double checked this, but they’d show willing and it’s the thought that counts!
